Mud System Physics is an advanced physics mod for Farming Simulator 25, which completely rethinks the interaction of machinery with the soil during rainy weather.
What does the mod do?
The mod adds a dynamic mud system that affects:
- Wheel behavior
- Adhesion to the surface
- Visual effects
- Cross-country ability of vehicles
- The condition of fields and soil
Every ride in the rain or across a wet field is a risk of getting stuck, and it's not just a pretty picture...

"Realistic" mud physics
Dirt is calculated based on humidity in real time!
Wheels can:
- slip
- Lose traction
- Getting stuck in the mud
The heavier the equipment, the higher the risk of getting stuck.
Interaction with fields
Mud behaves differently on different types of soils, for example, plowed fields are the most viscous!
The ability to remove vegetation in deep mud (optional)
Flexible settings!
The mod is fully customizable through the game menu.:
- turning on/off the mud system
- the strength of the viscosity effect
- the effect of rain
- visual effects
- removal of vegetation
- And much more. (more than 20 different controls and switches)
All parameters can be changed on the fly, without restarting the game.
In version 1.0.2.0:
- Added brush support for landscapes with water in the name. For example, waterPuddle (such brushes work like dirt and out of the rain, this is a note for map authors).
- Added flexibility in settings for each layer of the field's land (all 15 profiles).
- Fixed cases where there were mud brushes under the fields on the maps (landscape brush mechanics), the game applied two values simultaneously as a field and as a landscape brush for dirt. What could be causing the incorrect behavior? (now, if it's a field, then the mechanics of the field are working).
- Added Italian translation from version 1.0.1 from player iguana32.
Known issues: Some players have missing mod settings in the general settings. (It is still unclear why). |
