The Lotus 72D was one of the most prominent Formula 1 cars of the early 1970s. It is best known for being driven by Emerson Fittipaldi, who won the 1972 World Championship with the Lotus team. The car had a lower, sharper, and more modern appearance compared to many of its competitors. Its wedge-shaped body, side radiators, internal brakes, and compact layout were designed to improve aerodynamics, balance, and компоновку. It was powered by a 3.0-litre Ford Cosworth DFV V8 engine, producing around 420 bhp at around 10,000 rpm, and weighed around 550kg. On the track, the 72D was light, responsive, aerodynamically efficient for its time and demanding at the limit. It rewards smooth and precise handling and has little tolerance for abrupt movements. Its design helped to set the foundation for the next generation of Formula One cars. Note: Model and sound: Project Cars 2 In version 1.1: Credits: Mathoine |
