Dodge Viper supercar of the next, fourth in order, generation was officially introduced in 2008, and differed from its predecessor by a noticeably overhauled technical component. The conveyor life of this generation of American supercar did not last long - until 2010, after which its production was suspended for several years due to the global crisis.

The fourth generation of the Dodge Viper SRT10 was produced in two body types: a roadster and a coupe. Both cars are completely independent and have only a few common panels (front panel, hood, front fenders and doors). Viper SRT10 coupe has greater rigidity, increased downforce and better flow coefficient, and also has a larger amount of luggage.

Depending on the version, the overall dimensions of a supercar are: 4460-4463 mm in length, 1230-1234 mm in height and 1910-1911 mm in width with a wheelbase equal to 2510 mm. The ground clearance of the car, whose curb weight varies from 1,545 to 1,565 kg, is 130 mm.

Specifications. The fourth-generation Dodge Viper was offered with a gasoline V-shaped "ten" volume of 8.4 liters, equipped with aluminum cylinder blocks, lubrication technology with a "dry" crankcase and multi-point power system.
In its bins - 600 horsepower, sold at 6100 rev / min, and 760 Nm of torque at 5000 rev / min.

In partnership with him worked 6-speed "manual" gearbox, viscous coupling in the cross-wheel differential and rear-wheel drive transmission.

The maximum capabilities of the “fourth” Dodge Viper were limited to 306-325 km / h, and the conquest of the first “hundred” took only 3–3.9 seconds, depending on the version.
The average fuel consumption in mixed conditions - 19.4-19.6 liters for every 100 km of run.

The basis for this "Viper" is a spatial frame with hinged body parts made of fiberglass. The car "flaunts" an independent suspension design on all wheels - double wishbones and anti-roll bars.
By default, the American has a rack and pinion steering with a hydraulic booster and 335 mm brake discs with ventilation and Brembo two-cylinder calipers.

The supercar has in its arsenal aggressive look, excellent driving performance, high-performance "aspirated" and cool dynamic characteristics.
Its disadvantages are considered a huge fuel consumption, cramped interior, too stiff suspension and the need to order spare parts and components from the United States.
