From the very beginning, it was decided that the car should be fast and enjoyable to drive. As it turns out, consent is a resource that doesn't scale well.
The engineering team assigned to the project consisted of highly qualified specialists, each of whom fully understood the task and saw no reason to dilute it, including other interpretations. The work was effectively progressing in several directions simultaneously.
The components were designed, tested and installed with confidence. Sometimes they were installed together with other components designed to solve the same problem in a different way or to provide a more convincing solution to a completely different problem.
Meetings were held. They came to conclusions. Nothing was dismantled. As a result, what remains is not compromise or synthesis, but evidence of parallel confidence.

In version 0.9.5:
Trailers (new)
Now the car can tow. We weren't sure if it was necessary from a philosophical point of view, but it's possible. The behavior of the coupling device was set up in such a way that the trailer follows the car, rather than holding a referendum on the direction of travel at each turn.
Cargo on the roof (new)
The barbecue on the roof now accommodates standard cargo. A sofa, a refrigerator, a mattress, a large suspicious box — everything is bolted on, everything remains in place even at speeds at which, according to the law, the sofa should not be. We have no additional comments.
Chassis
Harder where it used to be fuzzy, softer where it used to be aggressive. Now the car is deformed in such a way that it looks more like an engineering solution than an interpretive dance. Several engineers consider this a regression. Their opinion is shared, but they are not convinced.
SUV (new)
Higher, softer, dirtier. A special configuration for surfaces that were never included in the original design. It fits incredibly well with the roof rack and sofa.
Gear ratios
The gear ratios were recalculated based on the engine actually installed, rather than the one that someone fondly recalled from the previous configuration. The car no longer reaches the rev limiter in the middle of the turn like an uninvited guest.
Tires
The clutch level has been recalibrated. The car is still sliding - it would be wrong if this didn't happen — but now the sliding has become consistent, predictable, and roughly corresponds to your direction. |
