Management:

- air brake (the whole train will brake if several units are connected): down arrow
- independent brake (only the locomotive will brake): P / space
- horn: H
- hitch: L
- front upper lights: N
- front lower lights: K
- rear lights: B
- interior lighting: Y
- beacon: M
- Call: M twice

Make sure that the N transmission is selected, and not M1 or M2
Press V and throttle to start the diesel engine (if it is not already running)
Release the air brakes (down arrow) and the independent brakes (P/space bar)
Move the reverse in the direction you want to go (use the icon with the range field to change the direction, L = forward, H = backward) and go to M1
Reduce the gas if accelerating too fast
You can slow down the train by using air brakes (down arrow affects the whole train) or by using an independent brake (P/space bar affects only the locomotive)
Or you can use dynamic brakes if your locomotive has them.
You can stop the train with the air brakes or switch to M1 and continue driving
REMINDER: The dynamic brake is not effective at speeds up to 20 km/h
