Mod GAZ-55 Sanitary version 1.5 for Spintires v03.03.16
What changed? Everything! The mod was made anew and perhaps nothing remained unchanged!
1. Let's start with the wheels and suspension. iberi softened the suspension, and solo made the original 4-hole wheels.
2. Sounds were taken from Autopack “V.O. 1941-1945” - 3 from iberi
3. Added shadow from the car.
4. Changed engine settings.
5. A driver has been added, and there is also a skin for the driver "Vasily Terkin" in the archive.
6. Added animations: steering wheel and doors, as well as redone suspension animation.
Also, 2 more versions of the Civil Vehicle and the Simplified Version of the Second World War times were added + the addons and loads were changed or added. And skins for the car were also drawn.
In 1938, at GAZ, under the leadership of designer Yu.N. Sorochkina, the design of a special ambulance was completed. Its rear axle was suspended on softer elongated springs and four lever-type hydraulic shock absorbers. The car received the GAZ-55 index (army index M-55). In her cabin, it was possible to transport either four people lying on a stretcher and two sitting on the folding seats, or two on suspended stretchers and five on the folding seats. In the sanitary department, a heater was installed for heating and a ventilation system was installed, the rear wheels received wings with a flanging along the arch.
Serial production was organized in 1938 at the Gorky Automobile Assembly Plant (since 1940 - the GAZ bus branch). In 1942, the design of the machine was greatly simplified. The front wings were no longer made by the method of deep stamping, but also as they bent from a flat sheet on the GAZ-MM-V, the rear mudguards were similarly made. On the GAZ-55 release of 1943, only the left headlight was installed, the front brakes were absent.
Production of the GAZ-55 continued after the war (since 1946 - at the wealthy Gorky Bus Plant - GZA). Out of production in late 1950, giving way to a similar ambulance car GZA-653, but already on the basis of the GAZ-51.
