This project started in May and didn't resume until mid-June, and after that there was constant modeling work, taking measurements of our real life in 1486, and drinking Coca-Cola. International Series 86 (786, 886, 986, 1086, Hydro 186, 1486, 1586) The Model 86, also known as the "Pro Ag Line", was proposed as a major new offering in farm equipment, chief among them a new Control Center designed for operator convenience. The 86s were introduced in 1976 and have been in production since 1977. At this time they offered models 886 to 1586, 86 to 162, with beige panels and black stripe. To promote the 86 line and other tractors made at the time, IH organized an event called the "Red Power Showdown". During these events, IH tested their tractors and demonstrated how good they are and what can be expected from their tractors. The 86s used in the Red Power Showdown and other events had a style different only for these occasions, these are the Red Power panels and decal, and the IH logo iron decal (I never drew because I'm lazy). After these events, Red Power tractors were sold at a lower price due to the hours already put on them. In 1981, IH offered a special line of 86 tractors, the main feature of these tractors was the closed center hydraulic system (i.e., the hydraulic pump only works when requested). The special edition decal stripe also received an update, with a thin red stripe added above the black stripe. These tractors are called the 86 Series Tri-Stripe because the side stripes come in three colors: red, black and white.
