Ford New Holland Versatile 9080 series – proven power and reliability!

The Ford New Holland Versatile 9080 series, produced in the early to mid-1990s, marked a key chapter in the development of North American four-wheel drive tractors. Manufactured at the Verstile plant in Winnipeg, these machines combined the enduring legacy of Verstile and the resources of Ford New Holland to create reliable, powerful workhorses designed for intensive tillage and demanding field work.

Models such as the 9280 and 9480 had 250-300 horsepower thanks to reliable turbocharged Cummins diesel engines paired with a reliable 12-speed Quadra-Sync transmission or an all-wheel drive load-shifting transmission. The articulated four-wheel drive design, planetary main gears, and sturdy chassis provided excellent grip and traction, while the large fuel tank capacity and efficient hydraulic system allowed them to operate efficiently in the field.

Although simple by modern standards, the 9080 series offered practical operator comfort and easy operation. Known for their durability, ease of maintenance and reliability, these tractors are still appreciated today as reliable, practical machines designed for long and intensive work.
