Mod Volkswagen ID R for Car Mechanic Simulator 2018
June 3, 2019 at the Nurburgring, a new world record was set among cars with an electric power plant.
The Volkswagen ID.R EV prototype, driven by pilot Roman Dumas, drove the Nürburgring Nordschleife (20.8 km) in a record 6: 05.336 minutes, which is the Nurburgring's absolute record for electric cars. According to Volkswagen engineers, the time could be much better if you removed the speed limit on the Döttingen Höhe straight (100 km / h less than the prototype Porsche 919 EVO). This is due primarily to safety standards (in this particular case) and limited battery capabilities (at the end of the track they were almost empty).
The previous record holder among electric cars was the prototype NIO EP9, which in 2017 drove the Nordschleife circle in 6: 45.90 minutes. Piloted a prototype Peter Dambrek.
EV Volkswagen ID.R is equipped with two electric units with a total capacity of 500 kW (680 horsepower), where all the thrust is transmitted to both axles of the prototype (on each axis by an electric motor). The maximum torque is 650 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km / h - in 2.25 seconds. The maximum speed is 240 km / h. The total weight is slightly less than 1100 kg (carbon monocoque and steel safety cage).
Also, do not forget that the absolute Nurburgring record is a time of 5: 19.55 minutes, set in 2018 on the prototype Porsche 919 EVO under the control of Timo Bernhard.
