In version 1.1 (04/21/26):
Here is the full list of changes:
- The functionality of the opening trunk has been completely redesigned: connecting elements are now used, and the position of the hydraulics in the upper half has been changed for greater realism. The upper loop has also been significantly improved, and separate triggers for the upper and lower sections have been added. The lower section has also been largely redesigned with the help of jbeam, with new assembly positions and limiters to ensure that it does not depend on the bumper in rare cases when the winch cannot hold it. In addition, it cannot operate without an open upper trunk.
- The models, textures, and glow map of the U-series headlights have been completely redesigned to match the reference materials much better.
- Redesigned JBEAM sunroof and panoramic sunroof using a combination of guides and hydraulics, not just hydraulics.
- Triggers have been added for the operation of the sunroof in the cabin and key settings have been removed.
- Note: I would add visible switches, but they would look like they were glued no matter what I did. However, the triggers are placed where the switches would be realistic.
- Added support for physical mirrors version 0.31 for all mirrors. This means that you can now see Centauri in the reflections of its own mirrors, and they have also become more useful, since their position now corresponds to the mirrors to which they are attached.
- Added the function of electronic folding of side mirrors. They can be activated using a trigger on the driver's door (change depending on the type of steering wheel selected).
- An animated gearshift lever has been added for both types of steering wheels, using intermediate positions to make it look "jammed" as it should be.
- Note: Surprisingly, this did not require any changes to the model — perhaps this is due to how much more conservatively I approached the number of polygons when creating the interior of this car.
- Added smooth lighting of the relevant parts of the car, including headlights and daytime running lights. To create an artificial effect, the "temporal" parameter is used, not "temporalNonLinear", since the market position of this car involves the use of LEDs, not halogen lamps.
- Note: Many lamps in the car still turn on and off instantly. This is also due to the fact that the car's market position assumes the use of LEDs, rather than a cheaper option that would dim quickly.
- The functionality of the automatic engine start/stop system has been redesigned. It uses a completely new code created by Zeit in accordance with its current standards, and it should work much more realistically.
- The principle of operation of the opening doors has been adjusted and changed, now they do not open in a normal collision.
- Note: The Avior code is used as a reference.
- The normals of the beveled edges of the panels on the main texture and bumpers were redesigned, since the old ones were of low resolution and worsened the appearance of the entire car.
- Redesigned the roof ridge normals and the "Centauri" lettering on the back for the same reasons as above.
- New baked bevel normals have been added for all standard wheel options, and the roughness of the diamond-cut discs ζ and β has been reduced to make them more shiny.
- Added internal collisions to the backs of the front seats, so that you can now place objects inside the car. This also applies to the luggage compartment of the U340TD Utility Package, finally making it suitable for use as a van, and the weight and collision behavior has been adjusted thanks to the newly added nodes.
- The trigger for the ignition button has been returned, and a spherical trigger model is now used.
- Adjusted the Japanese police skin to transfer the text from the doors to the back of the car, as the original text was unrealistic.
- The color palette of the "Brawler" skin has been fixed, as well as the ability to select "crash test decals" in the parts selector and the ability to change the color of the "UK Police" livery under the decals.
- Changed tire parameter values for all "standard" and "sports" tires to be closer to Avior parameters, improving cornering handling and grip to a realistic level for a modern car.
- Reinforced sports stabilizer bars.
- Note: The S410T and S520T are still lurching a lot, and after some testing, I think it's just an unavoidable part of the fact that this is a 2.8T powered SUV and not a real sports car. The new tire parameter values should help in this regard, I hope.
- The noise level of the electronic parking brake has been reduced.
- Added a second trigger on the spare wheel.
- Replaceable switches have been added on the front door cards for manual operation (changing these switches allows you to change the position of the mirror folding trigger).
- Adjusted the sound configuration for the 3.5-liter V6 engine, as well as changed the way the exhaust volume changes depending on driving modes. This should mean that the mixing will remain the same, but the engine will become louder (in modes such as Sport+), as intended.
- Added a silver option for 20x8 Centauri discs.
- Added a diamond-cut option for 17x7 Centauri discs.
- Note: This was done quite a long time ago, but still after the release of version 1.0.8, so technically this is an innovation for this update.
- Added a trigger that allows you to control the third row of seats without using a key.
- Note: The functionality of the third row of seats still needs to be improved, since, like the hatches before this update, it does not use rails at all. This should have been fixed in this update, but I wanted to go back to my main project, so I decided to leave it as it is, as everything is working.
- The rear American license plate is rotated 180° to display the correct front side.
- Adjusted the spring value on all types of brakes to increase the stability of sudden braking.
- Redesigned thumbnails to match the lighting of version 0.38, as well as changed the characteristics of several configurations and added coloring for the U340TD HT38.
- Added 5-bolt hubs as an option. |
