Volumetric Afterfire v1.0 (0.39.x)
0 45 15

This mod adds a custom volumetric flame effect from the exhaust pipe (the "afterfire" effect), implemented using shaders. The effect is largely dynamic and is based on real physical indicators obtained from the game engine: the composition of the fuel-air mixture is calculated based on the actual exhaust energy and estimated air consumption, and the flame temperature depends on the actual exhaust temperature. The mod uses the same fuel parameters that are used in the game's standard effects system. In addition to the standard effect, the functions of anti-lag and continuous flame (or flame that persists by inertia) are implemented after the spark supply is stopped.

Using
If the mod is activated in the mod manager and enabled on the corresponding page in the Mods tab, it will replace the standard effects on all vehicles. To get the desired result, you may need to adjust the "Base Diameter" parameter.

The page with the settings and visual design options is available in the Mods tab in the pause menu.:
Notes
Since the diameter of the exhaust pipe in the 3D model is only a visual element and is not taken into account by the game engine, the flame size may not immediately match the desired one. In addition, for some vehicles, the exhaust exhaust points may be positioned or configured incorrectly, which is why the mod will not be able to correctly place the particle effects. This applies to both standard vehicles and equipment from third-party modifications.
