In 1979, the Valmet 1102 was upgraded with a new bright yellow color scheme and a slight increase in power. Its parallel model 1103 was equipped with a Hi-Trac gearshift gearbox and quick-release three-point attachment hooks. They were produced until 1980, when they were replaced by the Valmet 1203.
