In the 1960s, Kloeckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG stopped manufacturing construction machinery. In this regard, it was decided to convert a wheel loader from a line of construction equipment into an agricultural tractor with articulated steering, turning the driver's cabin 180 degrees and installing additional headlights.
So in 1969, the Deutz D16006 was introduced. The market success was quite low, so production was discontinued in 1975, and about 35 units were produced.
