The "Variable tire pressure" function allows you to deflate and inflate tires, adjusting the pressure depending on the operating conditions (for example, for working in the field or driving on the roads). Lower tire pressure increases traction.
Installation:
It is necessary to add a new entry to the XML file of the vehicle/trailer. Installation instructions (DE/EN) are included. The "Variable tire pressure" function only works if the script/mod is installed in the mods folder.
For supported basic game vehicles, you can now select in the store whether you want to use this feature or not.
In the settings window (Ctrl + Alt + U), you can adjust the tire deformation. After the air is drained from the tires, you can also fine-tune the appearance using the "Minimum Tire Radius" parameter so that the tires do not look like they are pressed into the ground.
The following types of equipment from the original game and DLC are currently supported:
- Tractors
- Tanks for liquid manure
- Self-propelled liquid manure spreaders
- Manure spreaders
- Field sprayers
- Self-propelled field sprayers
- Combine harvesters / forage harvesters
- Loading trailers
- Screw trailers
Key assignment:
- Full vehicle control: Alt+V
- Tractor tire pressure: Alt + T
- Trailer only: Alt + O
HUD:
- Open the RDA control Panel: Ctrl+ Alt+ U
- Show/Hide HUD: Ctrl + Alt + J
In version 1.0.0.3:
- Tire deformation now takes into account the standard load/weight of the vehicle in road mode and smoothly switches to low pressure mode.
- The visual representation of rigid elements (for example, mudguards) has been adjusted so that they do not protrude from under severely deformed tires.
- Wheels and tracks can now be excluded separately; vehicles with a mixed type of propulsion (tracks and regular wheels) are supported.
- In the configurationSet elements, you can now use the vtp="true" parameter.
- The location of the HUD elements can now be edited directly with the mouse when the panel is open Ctrl+Alt+U: drag the HUD to move and use the marker in the lower right corner to resize proportionally.
- The HUD display status (Ctrl+ Alt + J) is saved as the user's local setting and is restored after loading, saving or restarting the game. |
