SmartLights automates the activation of headlights, work lights, and flashing lights in LS25 based on visibility, weather, vehicle size, and operating situation. It provides realistic delays for smoother and more predictable lighting behavior.

SmartLights is a scripted mod for Farming Simulator 25.
The mod automates the activation of headlights, work lights, and flashing lights based on visibility, weather, vehicle size, and operating situation.

The settings can be found in the game's menu under:

General settings -> SmartLights
 There, you can set the "Manual", "Automatic", or "Realistic" modes for automatically turning on the headlights, flashing lights, and working headlights.
The player's manual settings are always taken into account. SmartLights is designed to support, but not to permanently replace, intentional manual switching.

The basic logic of SmartLights
works not only based on the time of day, but also takes into account the situation in the game.

 Headlights:
- turn on based on weather conditions and lighting
- darkness, rain, snow, hail, and fog can affect the operation of the headlights

Rotating flashing lights:
- switch depending on the type of vehicle, its size, and attachments
- large or transport combinations can be automatically detected
- rotating flashing lights can be disabled in operation mode

Work lights:
- considered separately from high-beam lights
- turned on for appropriate field work or work situations
- large or foldable tools maintain the work context until the end of the work situation

- The multiplayer mode has not been fully tested in practice. The mod is designed as a multiplayer-friendly, local mod; feedback on the results of real multiplayer tests is welcome.
- AI-based auxiliary scripts, Courseplay, AutoDrive, or other scripts may have their own lighting logic and override SmartLights.

 In version 1.0.3.0:

- Optimized the detection of the operating mode.
- Improved support for large videos.
- Fixed minor bugs.
