What if the storm stops being just a visual effect?
Lightning flashes across the sky, thunder shakes the surroundings - but this time something else happens. This mod goes beyond light and sound: the storm actively interferes with the gameplay, forcing you to adapt.
GIANTS once rejected one of my ideas just because I dared to create something unusual. This time I will not explain anything.
Let the storm answer for me.
I created this mod for my own enjoyment and according to my personal vision. My goal is to recreate realistic situations.
Regular updates are planned, as I still have many ideas. Let's expand the boundaries of the GIANTS engine's capabilities...
In version 1.1.1.6:
- The trajectories of the sun and moon have been moved deeper into the horizon, so they no longer disappear above it.
- Switching between the sun and moon still follows the game's primary and secondary lighting system.
- The lighting transitions at sunrise and sunset have been smoothed out, and the instant light turn-off has been removed.
- The curves for sunlight, moonlight, and sky scattering have been refined.
- The issue where the sky turned completely black when the sun or moon went below the horizon has been fixed.
- A very thin bluish floor of the night sky has been added to ensure that the stars remain visible.
- This is not intended to provide strong lighting for the ground, but rather to prevent the sky and star field from disappearing. |
